The Metro Diner in Gainesville, is another hip spot that is busy as hell. Located in a well know shopping strip area, it has plenty of dishes for everyone. People really seem to love their breakfast. They have fried chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, breakfast pizza, steak and eggs and more. They also offer your standard eggs, bacon, pancake plates as well. For lunch and dinner, they offer meatloaf, pot roast, sandwiches, burgers, salads and so much more. It is family friendly with a well priced kids menu. The staff was really nice, it is new and clean inside, and they offer outdoor seating. I had one of the specials, which was an Italian Sausage sandwich, with one side dish at $7.99. It was excellent and filled me up very well. I would recommend this place for sure. There is plenty of parking, but limited seating. It is kinda small there, but well worth the wait if it is busy.
